The mission of the Decatur Fire Department is simple... "To Help People." By holding to such a simple mission statement, we refuse to limit ourselves in our service to our customers and we express our desire to seek solutions to whatever problems we are called upon to address.
Overview
Welcome to the Decatur Fire Department home page. Because of the generous support from you our citizens and city leaders, Decatur Fire is able to develop a group of highly trained professionals that are here to provide the best service to you. Our firefighters provide top-level fire, medical, and rescue services year round whenever duty calls.
When not performing emergency operations or training we provide a number of other community services with the most note-worthy being our clown shows put on every year to educate grade school kids on the importance of fire safety. As it is our mission "to help people", we always welcome questions and suggestions.
