Teen Advisory Board
Looking for a way to help your community, to meet other teens, and to have
a say in what happens at the library? Join the Teen Advisory Board. TAB
meets monthly to plan programs, make Teen book suggestions, and have
snacks. Pick up a TAB application form from Ms. Kristin or from the Library
Front Desk. Fill it out, bring it back, and then enjoy being part of the
most fun group at the Library!
Otaku Club (Anime/Manga Club)
Meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
Join other Anime fiends as we show your favorite manga or
graphic novels, watch anime, and talk about why we love them. Perks include a discount price on ordering manga and graphic novels through the Decatur Public Library, and sharing your Otaku ways with the rest of us. Oh, and there will be snacks.
A couple of things that are Library Law: If you are under the age of
thirteen, you will need a signed consent form from your parents. You may
ask for one at the front desk at the Decatur Public Library. Ms. Denice will also be most happy to help you.
If you are bringing any anime that you wish to show during our meetings, you must bring it into the library a few days before the meeting so that Ms. Denice can view it.
If this sounds like the club for you, then please join us. We hope to see you there!
